Need care today? Call us now!

TTY 585/336-4894

WE HAVE EXPANDED OUR HOURS TO BETTER SERVE YOU!

The appointment line will now be open:

Monday – Friday:  11:00 am – 9:00 pm
Saturday:  8:00 am – 7:00 pm
Sunday:  8:00 am – 7:00 pm

AfterHours Medical Care provides urgent care at a time set aside for you. We see patients on a same day appointment basis so you won’t be asked to wait for an unknown length of time, as you might at an emergency room or walk-in urgent care center.

For most patients, a visit to AfterHours costs less than an emergency room visit. So all around, it’s a smart alternative.

Proven, effective care by experienced staff.

Our board-certified or board-eligible physicians, experienced physician assistants and nurse practitioners treat more than 30,000 patients a year for minor illnesses and injuries. Since the service began in 1998, more than a quarter of a million patients have been seen in the Rochester and Buffalo regions.

A recent survey revealed that 96% of patients treated by AfterHours Medical Care were very satisfied or satisfied with the overall care they received.

Tests and treatments all in one place.

AfterHours is equipped to provide services such as x-rays, rapid strep tests, EKGs, IV fluids, nebulizer treatments and blood work.

A lot like your doctor’s office.

Each of our three AfterHours locations offers a secure, convenient and private setting, just like your primary care physician’s office. Like you, the other patients you may see in the reception area have already spoken over the phone to a nurse and also have appointments for treatment of minor illness or injury.

Your personal physician manages your care – AfterHours is there to help.

AfterHours works with your primary care physician and is designed to support, not replace your personal doctor’s professional medical services during evenings and weekends. We send a report to your primary care physician, giving details about your visit and treatment,
the same day of your visit to AfterHours.

We’ve got you covered at AfterHours.

AfterHours is open seven days a week:

Monday through Friday, afternoons and evenings, as well as weekends and holidays.

We accept and/or participate in insurance coverage through BlueCross BlueShield, Preferred Care, Child Health Plus, Medicaid and Medicare. Cost of visit is subject to the individual’s co-pay/fee/deductible requirements. Coverage may vary for other commercial plans. All co-pays are due at the time of visit. Please check with your insurance plan for any additional fees associated with an urgent care visit.

AfterHours is easy to use.

Simply call! A registered nurse will answer your call and help determine if AfterHours is right for you. Based on your need, the nurse will give you an appointment at one of the three AfterHours locations.

AfterHours is available to anyone, by appointment, whether or not you are a patient at Lifetime Health Medical Group.
