Home > Media Center > News Releases > Dr. Fatehchand Hire Lifetime Health Medical Group Welcomes New PhysicianNEWS RELEASE — September 20, 2007 ROCHESTER, NY— Raju Fatehchand, MD has joined the team at Lifetime Health Medical Group. Fatehchand is board certified in internal medicine, as well as hospice and palliative care, and is a member of the American Medical Association and American College of Physicians. Fatehchand began seeing internal medicine patients at the Wilson Health Center September 4. Fatehchand earned his medical degree from the Madras Medical College at the University of Madras in Chennai, India. He was chief resident in internal medicine at the BDF Hospital, Arabian University in Bahrain. There he was responsible for the Hemodialysis Center and pre-transplant evaluation of kidney failure patients, as well as following up with them after renal transplant. He also completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Prior to joining Lifetime Health, he was a primary care physician and the chief of the Department of Medicine at the Jordan Health Center in Rochester. In addition to providing comprehensive medical care, he was the clinical coordinator for the HIV clinic and established a diabetic clinic based on the National Diabetic Collaborative. He has also held positions in hospitals in the U.S., India and U.K., as an internist, ER physician and primary care physician. # # #
