HCP opened its first Western New York heath center, West Seneca Medical Center, in 1978, and as demand for comprehensive center-based care grew, more centers were opened throughout the area. Lifetime Health became Lifetime Health Medical Group in August 2004. The name change is the result of patient and consumer survey studies that found existing patients and the public would better understand what the health centers are and do with the new name. Today, the Buffalo-area Lifetime Health centers exist as a versatile primary and specialty health care delivery system and welcome patients with Aetna, BlueCross BlueSheild of Western New York, Independent Health, Univera Healthcare, Fidelis, and other major insurance plans. In addition to internal medicine, family practice, pediatrics and ob-gyn, the four Buffalo-area Lifetime Health centers provide comprehensive on-site services. |
